PESHAWAR: Information Minister for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mushtaq Ghani, said on Wednesday that mischief was being promoted in the politics of the province, which will not be tolerated.

Speaking to the media following the protests by parents outside Army Public School (APS) in Peshawar, Ghani stated that the handful of people who were trying to block Imran and Reham Khan’s visit to the school belonged to a mere few political parties with their own agenda.

Ghani went on to say that there was no incident of misbehaviour and he had complete faith in honourable politics.

He further said that there were no abuses hurled at anyone and that it was being erroneously blamed.

Ghani said that in fact Imran Khan was warmly received by the students of APS who had also surrounded him for autographs, while the sheer handful of people protesting were not actually the parents of the deceased.

He went on to say that they have the names of all the people pretending to be the parents of the slain students and that the members of this association all belonged to various political parties causing the mischief.

Ghani clarified that Imran Khan’s intentions were to express solidarity with the teachers as well as students of APS, and that the students were all very happy to meet him.

He further said that who do these political parties think they are to stop the leaders from their destinations and that it was highly unprincipled to try and block the Chief Minister KP as well as Imran Khan-
